Quick answer
What is the Samco Battery 12V 24V 30A battery charger?
A high-frequency SMPS bench charger for 12V and 24V lead-acid banks from 40Ah to 300Ah — tubular, flat plate, SMF, VRLA and GEL (configured at order). At ₹14,046 with free shipping, COD and a 6-month warranty, it is one of the highest-current dual-voltage models Samco Battery builds — made in Delhi for dealers, workshops and fleet depots, delivered across Delhi NCR and shipped free across India.
One charger for 12V and 24V — no selector switch
Suits 40Ah to 300Ah lead-acid batteries
Setting the current: as a general reference, many lead-acid batteries are charged at around 10% of their rated Ah capacity. Always follow the battery manufacturer's specified charging current.
12V and 24V only: this charger is for 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries and banks. It is not intended for 36V or 48V systems, which includes most e-rickshaw and golf-cart packs.
GEL batteries: GEL charges at a lower voltage than flooded lead-acid. Tell us it is a GEL battery when you order and we configure the charger for GEL before dispatch — it is not a front-panel setting.
Not suitable for: lithium-ion and LiFePO4 packs, and batteries below about 40Ah — for a car or small inverter battery use the 12V 24V 10A charger instead.
Who buys the 12V 24V 30A battery charger?
Battery dealers & reconditioning
A different battery lands on the counter every hour. Charge large banks at up to 30A — set within the current each battery maker allows.
12V 15A regeneration desulfation charger →Mixed-fleet depots & workshops
12V vans parked beside 24V trucks and tippers. One auto-detecting bench unit covers both — no second charger, no second power point.
Truck battery charger — 24V 10A →Forklift & equipment yards
24V traction packs in stackers, reach trucks and scissor lifts turned around between shifts, ready when the next shift starts.
Electric stacker charger — 24V 20A →Truck & bus workshops
Twin 12V starter batteries wired in series — trucks, tippers, buses, earthmovers. Clip on once and charge the pair as a single 24V bank.
24V 30 Amp charger →Solar service teams
Storage banks run flat after a run of grey-sky days. A mains top-up brings 12V and 24V solar banks back without waiting on the weather.
12V 20A FCBC inverter charger →Auto workshops & garages
Tractor starters, inverter tubulars, car batteries — one dial covers the full Ah range a busy service bay sees in a week.
12V 6A automatic car charger →How long does charging take at 30A?
| Battery bank | Set the dial to | Approx. from low charge |
|---|---|---|
| 40Ah battery | 4A | ~11 hours |
| 100Ah battery | 10A | ~12 hours |
| 200Ah bank | 20A | ~12 hours |
| 300Ah bank | 30A (maximum) | ~12 hours |
These are approximate examples, not guaranteed charging times. Actual charging time varies with the battery's state of charge, age, condition, temperature and charging characteristics. Current may taper as the battery approaches full charge, so the final stage can take additional time. A 300Ah bank would require substantially more charging time on a 10A charger than on a charger capable of delivering up to 30A, subject to the battery manufacturer's charging limits.

Need less current, or only one voltage?
At this current the single-voltage models are noticeably cheaper — the two 30 Amp cards above prove it. The dual-voltage premium only pays for itself if you genuinely handle both voltages on the same bench.
12V 24V 30A battery charger — FAQs
Can this charger charge both 12V and 24V batteries?
Yes. It detects whether the connected battery is 12V or 24V and sets the correct charging voltage itself, so there is no selector switch to get wrong.
What is a 12V 24V 30A battery charger used for?
It is a workshop and dealer bench charger for large lead-acid batteries — 12V or 24V banks from 40Ah to 300Ah, including tubular inverter batteries, 24V truck and bus starter pairs, forklift traction packs and solar storage banks. It is designed for workshops and dealers whose benches regularly handle large battery banks.
Which battery types does a 30A charger suit?
12V and 24V lead-acid banks from about 40Ah to 300Ah — tubular, flat plate, SMF and VRLA. A 30A charging current can reduce charging time on larger banks, though the actual time depends on the battery's capacity, condition and state of charge.
Is 30A too powerful for a smaller battery?
No — the current is not forced on the battery; you set the dial. For example, a smaller battery may require a lower charging-current setting than a larger battery. Set the current according to the battery manufacturer's specification and verify the actual current on the digital ammeter. The 30A ceiling is headroom; it matters when a 300Ah bank lands on the bench.
Can it charge two batteries at the same time?
Yes, when the two are wired in series as a 24V bank — a matched pair of 12V batteries of the same type, capacity and similar state of charge. The charger has one output, so it cannot charge two separate batteries independently.
How do I set the charging current?
Start low and turn the dial up while watching the ammeter until the actual charging current matches the battery maker's recommended charging current — many lead-acid batteries are charged at around 10% of their rated Ah capacity, but always follow the battery maker's specification. The current tapers on its own as the battery fills.
Will it charge a 36V or 48V battery bank?
No. This model covers 12V and 24V only, which rules out most e-rickshaw and golf-cart packs — those are usually 48V or 60V. You can still charge the individual 12V batteries from such a pack, or a matched 24V pair. For higher-voltage banks, call or message us and we will tell you what suits.
Can I leave this charger connected overnight?
This model has a variable current dial rather than a dedicated float or maintenance mode, so disconnect it once the battery is charged rather than leaving it on indefinitely. If you need a charger a standby battery can stay connected to, use a Float Cum Boost model such as the 12V 24V 25A charger or the 12V 20A FCBC inverter charger.
Does it work with GEL, AGM and sealed batteries?
GEL is supported, but it charges at a lower voltage than flooded lead-acid, so tell us it is a GEL battery when you order and we set the charger for it before dispatch. It is not a setting you change yourself on the front panel. The same care applies to AGM and other sealed types — follow the charging voltage your battery maker specifies. It is not intended for lithium-ion or LiFePO4 batteries.
How is this different from the 25A model?
The 30A raises the maximum current for banks around 300Ah and suits dealers and mixed-fleet workshops running the largest batteries. The 25A model covers banks to about 250Ah at a lower price, and it has a Float / Boost selector this model does not, so it is the better pick if you need standby maintenance charging.
What warranty and returns apply?
Six months against manufacturing defects, and a 3-day return window on unopened goods in original packaging, with return shipping paid by the customer. Full terms are on the warranty and returns page.
