The Samco 12V 24V 10A is an automatic SMPS float-cum-boost (FCBC) battery charger for 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries from 35Ah to 150Ah — inverter, car, truck, tractor, DG set and solar batteries. It detects the battery's voltage on its own, charges at up to 10A on a six-step knob, then holds the battery safely on Float. ₹4,764 incl. GST · free delivery across India · COD · 6-month warranty. How to use it — four steps, no manual
- Connect. Red clamp to +, black to −. Reverse polarity is protected, so a mixed-up clamp won't damage anything.
- Plug in. The charger senses the battery and locks onto 12V or 24V by itself.
- Set the knob to about one-tenth of the Ah rating — 10A on a 100Ah battery, 3–4A on a 35Ah car battery.
- Boost till full, then Float. When the ammeter tapers, the battery is near full — flip to Float and leave it.
Charges every make of lead-acid battery
Brands: Exide, Amaron, Luminous, Okaya, SF Sonic, Prestolite — and every other make of 12V or 24V lead-acid battery. If it's lead-acid, this charger charges it.
Setting the current: set the knob to about one-tenth of the battery's Ah rating — roughly 10A for a 100Ah battery, 7A for 75Ah, 3–4A for a 35Ah car battery — unless the battery maker says otherwise.
GEL, AGM and sealed batteries: these charge at a lower voltage than flooded lead-acid. Tell us the battery type when you order and follow the maker's recommended current and voltage.
Not suitable for: lithium-ion and LiFePO4 packs, and batteries below about 20Ah — for bike, scooter and CCTV cells use the 12V 3A bike battery charger instead.

Times are from a low state of charge and depend on the battery's age and condition. Current tapers as the battery fills, so the last stretch always takes longer than Ah ÷ A suggests — at the one-tenth rate, most sizes land around 11–12 hours. A 150Ah battery takes longer because 10A is below its one-tenth rate; for faster turnaround on 150Ah and above, use the 12V 24V 15A model.

Can this charger charge both 12V and 24V batteries?
Yes. It reads the battery's terminal voltage and switches its output to the 12V or 24V range by itself — there is no selector switch, so nothing to set wrong.

What size battery can a 10A charger charge?
Roughly 35Ah to 150Ah. The six-step knob turns the current down for a small car battery and up to the full 10A for a 150Ah tubular. For larger banks, step up to the 12V 24V 15A model.
How long does it take to charge a 100Ah battery at 10A?
About 12 hours from a low state of charge. A 150Ah tubular takes around 17 hours at the same setting; a 35Ah car battery around 11 hours with the knob set to 3–4A.
Can it charge two batteries at the same time?
Yes, when they're wired in series as a 24V bank — a matched pair of 12V batteries of the same type, capacity and similar state of charge. It has one output, so it cannot charge two separate batteries independently.
What is a float cum boost (FCBC) charger?
A charger with two modes: Boost recharges a flat battery at a set current, then Float holds it at a standby voltage indefinitely without overcharging. It's the standard charger for DG sets, inverters, substations and anywhere a battery must stay ready.
What is the difference between Boost and Float?
Boost is active charging at the full set current. Float is standby — it keeps a full battery topped up at a safe voltage so it can stay connected. You pick the mode on the front switch.
Can I leave the charger connected overnight?
On Float, yes — that's what it's for. Float holds a full battery without overcharging, which suits inverter and DG set batteries left connected. GEL, AGM and sealed types hold at a lower voltage, so confirm your battery maker's figure first. Never connect a lithium-ion or LiFePO4 battery to this charger.
Which batteries and brands does it support?
12V and 24V lead-acid batteries — tubular, flat-plate, SMF and VRLA — including Exide, Amaron, Luminous, Okaya and SF Sonic. GEL and AGM charge at a lower voltage; tell us the type at order. Not for lithium-ion or LiFePO4.
Does it work with low or fluctuating mains voltage?
Yes. The wide 160–280V AC input is built for Indian mains — it keeps charging through low-voltage evenings and generator supply that would trip ordinary chargers.
