Quick answer
What are industrial battery chargers?
Industrial battery chargers are chargers designed to recharge the traction or standby battery packs used in industrial equipment — floor scrubbers, floor sweepers, forklifts, pallet trucks, electric stackers, golf carts, SMPS charging systems and battery maintenance applications. The correct charger depends on the battery pack's nominal voltage, chemistry, capacity, charging profile, connector and the manufacturer's recommended charging current. Choose a charger designed for your battery pack's nominal voltage, chemistry and charging requirements; the charger's actual charging voltage must follow the battery manufacturer's specifications. SAMCO Battery designs and builds industrial battery chargers in Delhi and ships across India, with details reviewed against your equipment and battery before dispatch.

Choosing the correct industrial battery charger requires verifying five things against the specific equipment and battery installed. Do not assume from the equipment model name alone — always confirm against the actual battery and charger labels.
1. Battery voltage — Read the nominal voltage off the battery label, not the charger label. Industrial equipment commonly uses 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V or 72V/80V packs. The charger's actual charging voltage must follow the battery manufacturer's specifications — a charger intended for a 24V lead-acid pack, for example, operates at an output voltage above 24V during charging.
2. Battery chemistry — Confirm whether the battery is flooded lead-acid, AGM, GEL or lithium LiFePO4. These have different charging requirements; a charger designed for one chemistry should not automatically be used with another. Lithium batteries may require a charger specifically designed for the battery's chemistry and battery management system (BMS).
3. Charging current and profile — The charging current and profile must follow the battery manufacturer's specifications. Suitable battery capacity depends on the battery manufacturer's recommended charging current and the charger's charging profile — there is no universal Ah limit for a given charger.
4. Connector — The charger plug must mate with the equipment's charging socket. Photograph both and send them to us for matching. Common types include Anderson SB series, three-pin round, two-pin flat and OEM-specific moulded plugs.
5. Charging arrangement — Some equipment uses an onboard charger built into the chassis; others use an external charger. Onboard and external replacement options may be available, subject to verification of the original charger's specifications and installation requirements.

Request an industrial charger quote
To get an accurate quotation, send us the following information on WhatsApp or by phone. If you are unsure which category your equipment falls under, send the details and we will identify the correct charger for you.
- Equipment type — scrubber, sweeper, forklift, pallet truck, stacker, golf cart, SMPS, maintenance
- Equipment manufacturer & model — from the identification plate
- Photograph of the ID plate — the metal plate on the chassis
- Battery label photograph — showing voltage, Ah and chemistry
- Existing charger's specification label — output voltage, current and connector
- Pack voltage — read off the battery, not the charger
- Battery chemistry — flooded, AGM, GEL or lithium LiFePO4
- Connector type & charging arrangement — onboard or external
Industrial battery charger — FAQs
How do I know which industrial battery charger I need?
Start by identifying your equipment type (scrubber, sweeper, forklift, pallet truck, stacker, golf cart, SMPS or maintenance application), then verify the battery's nominal voltage, chemistry, capacity, connector and charging arrangement (onboard or external). Choose a charger designed for your battery pack's nominal voltage, chemistry and charging requirements. The charger's actual charging voltage must follow the battery manufacturer's specifications. If you are unsure, send us photographs of your equipment plate, battery label and existing charger on WhatsApp and we will identify the correct category and charger for you.
Can I use the same charger for different types of industrial equipment?
Only if the charger's voltage, chemistry, charging profile, current and connector all match the specific battery installed in each piece of equipment. Two different machines may both use 24V packs, but if one is flooded lead-acid and the other is GEL, or if the connectors differ, the same charger may not be suitable for both. Voltage and current ratings alone are not sufficient to establish compatibility. Always confirm the battery chemistry, charging profile and connector before using a charger across different equipment.
What battery chemistries do SAMCO industrial chargers support?
SAMCO's standard SMPS chargers are designed for lead-acid batteries — flooded, AGM and GEL. GEL batteries charge at a lower voltage than flooded lead-acid, so SAMCO configures chargers for GEL before dispatch (it is not a front-panel setting). Lithium LiFePO4 batteries have different charging profiles, voltage limits and termination logic, and may require a charger specifically designed for the battery's chemistry and battery management system (BMS). A charger designed for one chemistry should not automatically be used with another. Always follow the battery manufacturer's recommended charging current and profile.
Do you ship industrial battery chargers across India?
Yes. We ship industrial battery chargers from our Delhi facility to 19,000+ pin codes across India. Free shipping is available on most orders, with COD available for qualifying deliveries. Most orders arrive in 2–7 business days depending on the destination. For Delhi and Delhi NCR (Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad), local delivery is faster and we can also arrange direct pickup from our Gokhale Market facility near Kashmere Gate Metro Station.
Can SAMCO identify the correct charger from photographs?
Yes. Send us clear photographs of the equipment identification plate, the battery label (showing voltage, Ah and chemistry) and the existing charger's specification label and connector. We will review the information, identify the correct industrial charger category, and confirm whether a suitable replacement is available before accepting the order. There is no charge for this assessment. We do not dispatch a charger until compatibility has been reviewed.
What is the difference between an industrial battery charger and a maintenance charger?
A regular industrial battery charger restores a discharged battery to full charge (bulk charging). A maintenance charger goes further: after the battery reaches full charge, it holds the battery at a controlled float voltage that compensates for self-discharge without overcharging — safe for extended connection over days, weeks or months. A maintenance charger is not a recovery device; not every discharged or damaged battery can be recovered. See our industrial battery maintenance charger page for details.
What information should I send when requesting a quotation?
Send: (1) equipment type, (2) equipment manufacturer and model, (3) photograph of the equipment identification plate, (4) photograph of the battery label showing voltage, Ah and chemistry, (5) photograph of the existing charger's specification label and connector, (6) pack voltage, (7) battery chemistry, and (8) connector type and charging arrangement (onboard or external). Even partial information is usually enough for us to begin the review and identify the correct charger category.
