Quick answer
What is an electric pallet truck battery charger?
An electric pallet truck battery charger recharges the traction battery pack of walkie pallet trucks or powered pallet jacks. These trucks typically run on 24V battery packs, though some heavier models use 36V. A replacement charger must match the battery-pack voltage, chemistry, charging profile, and connector — and the charging arrangement (onboard or external) must also be verified. SAMCO Battery offers replacement and compatible chargers, with details reviewed against your truck's specifications before dispatch from Delhi.
Equipment applications — what trucks these chargers suit
Electric pallet trucks and powered pallet jacks are used for low-level horizontal pallet transport across warehouse and factory floors. SAMCO supplies chargers matched to the categories below — confirm your specific truck's requirements with us before ordering.
Walkie pallet trucks
Operator-walk electric pallet trucks for low-level pallet movement. Typically 24V packs.
Powered pallet jacks
Walk-behind powered jacks for pallet lifting and short-distance movement. Often 24V packs.
Ride-on pallet trucks
Platform or ride-on electric pallet trucks for longer-distance warehouse transport. 24V packs common.
Electric pallet jacks with scale
Pallet jacks with integrated weighing for shipping and receiving. 24V packs, sometimes with external chargers.
How to verify compatibility — voltage, connector, chemistry & charging arrangement
Selecting the correct replacement charger requires verifying four things against the specific truck and battery installed. Do not assume from the truck model name alone — always confirm against the actual battery and charger labels.
1. Verify battery voltage
Read the nominal voltage off the battery label — not the charger label. Most walkie pallet trucks and powered pallet jacks run on 24V packs; some heavier ride-on pallet trucks use 36V. The charger's actual charging voltage must follow the battery manufacturer's specifications.
2. Verify connector type
The charger plug must mate with the truck's charging socket. Photograph both the truck's charging socket and the original charger's plug. Common types include Anderson SB series, three-pin round, and OEM-specific moulded plugs.
3. Verify battery chemistry
Pallet truck batteries may be flooded lead-acid, AGM, GEL or lithium LiFePO4. These have different charging requirements. A charger designed for one chemistry should not automatically be used with another. Lithium batteries may require a charger specifically designed for the battery's BMS.
4. Verify onboard vs external charging
Some pallet trucks have an onboard charger built into the chassis; others use an external charger that plugs into the truck's charging port. Confirm which arrangement your truck uses before ordering, because the replacement must match the physical installation.
Electric pallet truck voltage and capacity reference
The table below shows illustrative voltage and capacity ranges for electric pallet trucks. These are general references, not guaranteed compatibility specifications.
| Pack voltage | Typical pallet truck type | Illustrative capacity range | Battery chemistry (general reference) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24V | Walkie pallet trucks, powered pallet jacks, ride-on pallet trucks | 100–400Ah | Flooded LA · AGM · GEL · LiFePO4 |
| 36V | Heavier ride-on pallet trucks (confirmed on request) | 200–500Ah | Flooded LA · AGM · GEL · LiFePO4 |

Electric pallet truck battery charger — FAQs
Which voltage charger does my electric pallet truck need?
Choose a charger designed for your battery pack's nominal voltage — most walkie pallet trucks and powered pallet jacks run on 24V packs; some heavier ride-on pallet trucks use 36V. Read the voltage off the battery label, not the charger label. If you cannot locate the voltage, send us a photograph of the battery label on WhatsApp.
Can I use any 24V charger for my pallet truck battery?
No. A 24V charger must also match the battery chemistry, charging profile, required current and connector. A charger designed for one chemistry (flooded lead-acid, AGM, GEL or lithium LiFePO4) should not automatically be used with another. Always follow the battery manufacturer's recommended charging current and profile.
Does my pallet truck use an onboard or external charger?
Both arrangements exist. Some pallet trucks have an onboard charger built into the chassis; others use an external charger that plugs into the truck's charging port. Walkie pallet trucks and powered pallet jacks commonly use external chargers; ride-on pallet trucks may use either. Check the original charger's physical location before ordering a replacement.
How do I know which connector my pallet truck charger needs?
The connector must mate with the charging socket on your pallet truck. Common types include Anderson SB series, three-pin round, two-pin flat, and OEM-specific moulded plugs. Photograph the truck's charging socket and the original charger's plug, send both to us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm whether a matching connector can be supplied before dispatch.
Can SAMCO supply a replacement charger for Toyota, BT, Linde or Jungheinrich pallet trucks?
SAMCO supplies replacement and compatible chargers for trucks from most major manufacturers used in India, including Toyota, BT, Linde, Still, Jungheinrich, Hyster, Yale, Godrej and others. These are independent replacement chargers, not genuine OEM parts. Compatibility is confirmed against your specific truck's voltage, chemistry, connector and charging arrangement.
What information should I send when requesting a pallet truck charger quotation?
Send: (1) truck manufacturer and model, (2) photograph of the truck identification plate, (3) photograph of the battery label showing voltage, Ah and chemistry, (4) photograph of the existing charger's specification label and connector, (5) pack voltage, (6) battery chemistry, (7) charging arrangement (onboard or external), and (8) connector type.
How long does a pallet truck battery charger take to charge a pack?
Charging time depends on battery capacity (Ah), charger output current (A), battery chemistry, starting state of charge, and charging profile. As a general reference, a 200Ah 24V lead-acid pallet truck pack charged with a compatible 25A charger may take 10–12 hours or longer. Larger packs take proportionally longer, or can be charged faster with a higher-current charger, subject to the battery manufacturer's limits.
