The short answer: the Samco Battery 12V 24V 25A is an automatic dual-voltage lead-acid battery charger. It detects 12V or 24V on its own and delivers up to 25A through a six-step knob marked Minimum to Maximum — no amp markings to calculate. The charger regulates the current against the battery's condition, shown live on the digital ammeter. Normal mode handles everyday charging; Fast mode recovers weak, sulfated or deeply discharged batteries and mixes the electrolyte in flooded ones. It suits 40–250Ah tubular, SMF, VRLA and GEL batteries in e-rickshaws, forklifts, trucks, inverters, solar banks and DG sets. ₹11,949 incl. You set the limit — the charger sets the current
This charger is automatic. The six-step knob, marked Minimum to Maximum, sets how much current the battery may draw — there are no amp markings, because there is nothing for you to calculate. Turn it towards Maximum for a stronger charge, towards Minimum for a gentler one.
What the battery actually takes is decided by its own condition: a discharged battery draws more, a nearly full one draws less. The charger regulates this automatically, and the digital ammeter shows the live current — so you can watch the charge taper as the battery fills. When the ammeter settles at a small value, the battery is full.
Two charging modes: Normal and Fast
Why Fast mode matters for flooded batteries
In a flooded lead-acid battery, the electrolyte separates over time: acid is heavy and sinks to the bottom, while the water stays on top. This is called acid stratification — the plates sit in strong acid at the bottom and weak acid at the top, which cuts capacity and shortens battery life.
Fast charging moves and mixes the electrolyte. The stronger charge keeps the electrolyte stirred so acid and water stay evenly mixed throughout the battery — no stratification, more usable capacity, longer life. That is why Fast mode is not just for dead batteries: it is worth running on flooded batteries routinely.
Fits lead-acid batteries from 40Ah to 250Ah
Setting the knob by battery size: smaller batteries (40–100Ah) charge well on the lower steps; mid-size banks (100–180Ah) on the middle steps; large banks (180Ah and above) on the highest steps, up to Maximum. The charger limits the current to what the battery can safely accept either way.
GEL batteries: GEL charges at a lower voltage than flooded lead-acid. Tell us at order and we set the charger before dispatch — it is not a front-panel setting.
Not suitable for: lithium-ion and LiFePO4 packs, or batteries below ~40Ah — for smaller needs see the 12V 24V 10A charger.

These figures are estimates, not guaranteed charge times. Actual time depends on the starting state of charge (a partly discharged battery takes proportionally less), battery age and condition, temperature, charging efficiency and tapering. On smaller batteries set on the lower steps, the charger delivers well under 25A, which lengthens the time. At the Maximum setting, amp-hours ÷ 25A gives the floor — expect roughly 20–30% longer in practice.

Less current, more current, or one voltage only?
Dual-voltage earns its place when you handle both 12V and 24V. One voltage only? A single-voltage unit is usually the cheaper buy.
25A charger — questions, answered
Can this charger charge both 12V and 24V batteries?
Yes. It detects whether the connected battery is 12V or 24V and applies the correct charging voltage itself — there is no voltage switch to set or get wrong.
What size battery can a 25A charger charge?
Lead-acid batteries and banks from about 40Ah to 250Ah — tubular, SMF, VRLA, plus GEL when configured at order. Smaller batteries charge on the lower knob steps, larger banks towards Maximum.
How do I set the knob when there are no amp markings?
The six steps are marked Minimum to Maximum — no amp calculations needed. Turn towards Maximum for a stronger charge, towards Minimum for a gentler one. The charger regulates the actual current against the battery's condition, so the knob simply sets the limit while the battery takes what it can accept.
What is the difference between Normal and Fast charging?
Normal is the everyday mode for routine charging and healthy batteries. Fast is a stronger charge for weak, sulfated or deeply discharged batteries that do not accept normal charging — and it is also useful routinely on flooded batteries, where it keeps the electrolyte well mixed.

How do I know when the battery is full?
Watch the digital ammeter. A discharged battery draws more current; as it fills, the reading falls on its own. When the current has tapered to a small, steady value, the battery is full and can be disconnected.
Can it charge two batteries at the same time?
Yes, when the pair is wired in series as a 24V bank — two matched 12V batteries of the same type, capacity and similar state of charge. There is one output, so it cannot charge two separate batteries independently.
Can it charge e-rickshaw batteries?
Yes — the individual 12V batteries. A full e-rickshaw pack is 48V or 60V, beyond this charger's 12V/24V output, so charge them one at a time or as a matched 24V pair. At 25A, fleets keep the daily turnaround short.
